Larger than normal late 19th centuyr iroquois indian beaded souvenir bag or purse measuring 18.3 x 18.6 cm (appprox. 7.25 x 7.5 in. ) in largely fine condition offered without reserve often called niagra falls bags for the high tourist zone around the falls in which the local iroquois indians were sure to find buyers for their beadwork bags on cloth and velvet in the second half of the 19th and early yeras of the 20th century these little ornately beaded bags are quite colorful and attractive. However they are typcally found in the 3 to 4 inch size range rarely in this slightly over 7 inch size. Bag or more properly purse has suffered white border bead loss on one side and the silk border on purse flaps is partially disintegrated. Finally the cloth handle is no longer present.
