Fine Antique Tlingit Pictorial Beaded Wallpocket 1890Heer is a very nice and collectable tlingit beaded wallpocket from s. W. Alsaka circa 1890-1900. Constructed of trade materials with a red wool front, very pretty purple velvet at both pockets trimmed in pale pink silk and a pale pink cotton flannel backing. Very nice bead colrs of white, greasy yellow, sky blue, navy blue, opal, pink and green translucent and faceted iron. Picot and gap stitched edging in white beads. Niec american eagle motif in top pocketstylized floral on rest. The slight darkening in top corners of pic 1 is the iron oxide from the iron beads. Overall good cnodition for age. 17 long w/o buckskin hanging thong, 51/2 wide. Just a very pretty antique example of n. W. Coast beadwork. U. S. Sales only. Not responsible for uninsured items.
