Native American Iroquois Beaded Whimsey Match Safe 1910This auction is for a native american beadwork whimsey 1910. This wall pcoket measures approximately 9 high (10 with fringe) x 6 wide (at it's widest point. ) this piece is ebaded entirely in green glass beads. The design consists of a sunburst ptatern and circles. The date 1910 is beaded on the bottom and accented with sequins. This piece is in very good condition. There are two smalls line of beads missnig on the left match holder, within the circle. There is one line fo beads missing from the top left of the sunburst above the 'matchsafe. ' this piece is beaded onto tan cloth hte back is a deep orangey-brown.There is absolutely no loss to the cloth, front ro back. I have been a collector and restorer of these pieces for many years. Unfortunately, i need to let some of them go. If you are a restorer of textiles this is a great piece for you the only work needed is the small lines in the circel and the three beads on the sunburst. If you are beginning collector, or adding to an existing collection, these are some great pieces that need a new home. I ahve described this item to the best of my ability.
