Northern Plains Arapaho Strikealight Circa 1885Nice northern plains strike-a-light circa 1885. I feel it is arapaho but it could be sioux? Size is 3 wide and 5.5 long with the tin cones. It is sinew sewn in great old bead colors of white, greasy green, greasy yellow, colbalt blue, and white center red. Front panel of beadwork is on parfleche hide and the back is brain tanned hide (buffalo)? . From the back are two twisted fringe drops one is broken off and the other has two tin cones on teh end. Neat! . Case exhibits wear and has good patina a few of the cones are missing as can be expected with a 100 plus year old item.
