Vintage Indian Beaded Velvet Miniature PurseUp for auction is a lovely and beautifully crafted miniature but full-bodied velvet purse with beaded decorations, created by a skilled native american artist from the northeast. This gorgeous little purse features a beaded design of teal and amber decorations on the front and yellow and grass green on the reverse. The lid is of taupe velvet with a blue and green beads, and all the seams have beaded detailing. Two little beaded loops hang from the base, and there is a cord for hanging. The inside of the purse is lined in red fabric. Notice the beautifully executed beadwork patterns and the two sizes of beads. The beads aren't glued down, but painstakingly stitched right to the little purse. It displays beautifully! The little purse is quite small and probably was intended for a change purse, measuring 1½ x 2½ and 1¾ deep without the handle. This beautifully crafted vintage beaded item is in outstanding shape fro its age in fact i don't see any missing beads at all. The velvet is in near-perfect shape and the lining is clean and undamaged. See photos, as they give an accurate picture of teh item's condition. A very nice native american handicraft which would make a great piece for display very attractive and skillfully crafted beadwork!
